Dr. Cho holds her Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #66245). Her counseling experience includes working with families (birth/blended/adoptive), couples (pre-marital/ marital), and individuals who are seeking insight and growth. She believes the foundation of therapy begins with a nurturing, empathetic, and non-judgmental relationship in order to foster lasting transformation. Dr. Cho was a certified foster parent and is involved with the foster/adoptive community.

With over 17 years of clinical experience, Dr. Cho integrates attachment centered modalities, brainspotting, and a psychodynamic theoretical approach. Dr. Cho aims to provide language and increase emotional vocabulary around dysregulated moments in hopes to better connect with loved ones. These approaches can help navigate and identify connections from past experiences to present triggers. Her clinical work entails collaborating with government agencies, serving parties of the adoptive population and partnering with families undergoing imminent crises. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on attachment styles of the adoption triad and couples struggling with fertility issues.

Dr. Cho’s strengths are highlighted in partnering with couples who are seeking pre-marital and/or marital counseling. She is a PREPARE/ENRICH certified facilitator and enjoys guiding couples towards open communication and belonging. She is especially attuned to clients who are seeking discovery to resolving barriers in their cyclical conflict.

Dr. Cho is a second generation Korean-American who understands the melding of multiple generations and cultural complexities. She is passionate about the transformative healing that can begin now, mending prior generations of pain and bringing restoration to future generations to come. She is fluent in English and conversational in Korean.
